José R. Espinoza (S’92–M’97) was born in Concepción, Chile, in 1965. He received the degree in electronic engineering and the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Concepción, Concepción, Chile, in 1989 and 1992, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Concordia University, Montreal, QC, Canada, in 1997.
He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Concepción, where he is engaged in teaching and research in the areas of automatic control and power electronics. He has authored and coauthored more than 150 refereed journal and conference papers.
